too much mountain dew.

I'm on the computer right now (obviously...) and I found these hilarious signs! I'm laughing my head off, probably because of all the caffeine I've been drinking.

aww....

see ya tomorrow! (maybe...)

Converse=love!

anyone who doesn't have a pair of converse sneakers NEEDS TO GET ONE NOW!!!!
here are some pictures of mine:

ok, fine. so you may have to tilt your heads a bit...
this one isn't as cute.
aren't they adorable? *swoon*

here are some pictures of other people's converse sneakers that I stole off the webbernet:

aww...
eek! I wouldn't put my foot into this one...
I love "the dark knight", so I think these are absolutely adorable!
that's right. converse sneakers are old school.
*sniffle* so cute...

ouch, that looks painful...
ha ha! for those who are TRULY obsessed...
i like these ice blue shoes...
so true.

I swear, I could marry these things.

African Journey

hello, imaginary people who I pretend read my blog! I haven't really posted anything in while. I apologize.
anyway.

my local zoo just opened a new chapter called "the African Journey".
I checked it out last sunday, and it was pretty cool.

This hyena didn't seem to be laughing.
I was actually afraid it was dead, but I guess it just
couldn't take the Indiana heat.
(that was a joke...)
this is Zuri, the giraffe.
you can feed her a leaf of lettuce for five bucks.
even my little brother couldn't take the heat.
there were a lot of mongoose (mongooses? mongeese?)
 scurrying around.
and last but not least we saw two majestic creatures;
the king and queen of the jungle themselves.

their names are Bill and Ina.

ironic, huh?

summer's a bummer

I love swimming. I love warm weather. I ESPECIALLY love the idea of losing weight. ('cause brother, I need it.) but I hate summer. I hate all classes and group meetings being put on hold for two and a half months. everyone I know goes on vacation and has fun, while I'm confined to my bedroom all alone listening to my radio and playing solitaire.
and my only friend is this guy.

sorry for complaining. :(

cherry blossom festival

From Osaka to Asakusa, I LOVE Japan!
This Saturday I was lucky that our local Library held a free Japanese festival! ("free" being a subjective term...) there were many people dressed up in kimonos, karate outfits, and anime costumes. (I was absolutely green with envy.) I watched someone play the koto, (one of my favorite instruments) and I got to see alot of bonsai. my best friend, who can draw flawless manga comics, was there to enter the anime competition. I foolishly entered too.
this is my inferior excuse for a manga picture. everyone else at my table had great drawing skill, something I don't possess.

despite my inferiority complex, I had a lot of fun! (even though I was there for about an hour...)
I look forward to next year!
